Chloe is one of my amazing senior reps this year, and she holds a special place in my heart. I’ve known her for literally her entire life—her mom and I grew up together, and it’s been such a joy to watch Chloe grow up over the years through the lens of social media. From adorable toddler moments to stunning senior portraits, seeing her transformation has been surreal.

Let me tell you—Chloe is a fiery redhead in every sense of the word. She’s bold, vibrant, full of personality, and someone you can’t help but be drawn to. She lights up every room she walks into, and it’s no surprise that she’s a theater major. If you’re ever looking for Chloe, chances are you’ll find her on stage at Northwest High School, where she spends nearly all her free time performing, rehearsing, or supporting her fellow thespians.

For her fall senior session, Chloe had the most perfect idea: she wanted to shoot her portraits inside the high school’s auditorium. It was meaningful to her, and honestly, it couldn’t have been a more fitting location. But I’ll be real with you—I was a bundle of nerves. I had never done a full session in a dark auditorium using off-camera flash (a technique I’m still learning and experimenting with). I kept joking with her that if the images didn’t turn out, we’d just reshoot everything somewhere else! I was completely out of my comfort zone... but Chloe had total faith in me.

Her sweet mama showed up like a wardrobe fairy godmother—arms full of options straight from Chloe’s and her own closets. We had outfits galore, her letterman jacket, and the best detail of all: her full collection of playbills. Some were from shows she starred in, others from productions that inspired her. It was like stepping into a scrapbook of her high school theater journey.

We explored every inch of that space—lounging in the audience seats, posing near the orchestra pit, twirling on stage with the curtains, even getting creative in the lobby. And oh my gosh, did Chloe own every shot. Her energy was contagious, her confidence radiated, and she made it so easy to capture images that felt like her. And guess what? The off-camera flash turned out to be a game-changer. I surprised even myself, and I can honestly say this ended up being one of my favorite sessions I’ve ever done.

And now for the most exciting news—Chloe has officially committed to Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, where she’ll be pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theater! I am so beyond proud of her. I have zero doubt that one day I’ll be sitting front row on Broadway, watching her bring a character to life, probably sobbing through the entire show. She is destined for greatness, and I’m just honored I got to be a tiny part of her story.

Chloe, it’s been an absolute blast having you on my senior team this year. You’ve kept me laughing, taught me all the new slang (even when I had no clue what you were talking about), and lovingly teased me for my old-school music taste. Your wit, charm, and huge heart make you unforgettable. Keep shining bright, girl—you’re going to take the world by storm.

Love you big!
