Celebrating Mack:
My 2025 Senior Rep and Future Hairstylist
Being a photographer means I get to meet so many incredible people, and this year, one of my absolute favorites has been Mack, one of my 2025 Senior Reps. Over the past year, I've had the pleasure of getting to know her—not just as a client, but as a person. From the very beginning, Mack has been all in, always up for a session, no matter the concept. Even when she wasn’t entirely sure about my vision, she trusted me completely—and let me tell you, she has rocked every single shoot!
Throughout this year, Mack has become my go-to model for spontaneous creative sessions, and she never disappoints. Whether it's a last-minute call or a carefully planned shoot, she shows up and absolutely slays. Her ability to bring an idea to life is nothing short of amazing, and I’ve loved every second of working with her.
A Session with a Special Announcement
For her spring session, Mack wanted to make an exciting announcement—her future career plans! She decided to use these images for her graduation announcements, and I couldn’t be more excited to help her bring this vision to life. Mack will be pursuing a career in hair after high school, a passion she has been honing for years. Thanks to the BCTAL program, she was able to complete cosmetology school during her junior and senior years, setting her up for success right out of high school. She is currently apprenticing under Krystal Montiel in Keller, and I have no doubt she’s going to do amazing things in the industry.
When Mack shared her ideas for the session, I immediately started brainstorming ways to make it even more special. We wanted the photos to capture her passion for hairstyling, so before we even started, we changed my contact name in her phone to "ur fav hairstylist" and made her background pop with her signature pink color. She brought along her tools of the trade—brushes, combs, scissors, clips, a blow dryer, and more—so we could create images that truly represented her future career. One of my favorite touches was the newspaper prop she brought, with her business name written in Sharpie—such a perfect way to showcase her brand and ambition!
The Many Faces of Mack
One of the funniest things about working with Mack is her natural ability to serve up the perfect RBF (resting boss face). She’s a pro at the fierce, confident look, but I have to constantly remind myself to tell her to smile, too—because when she does, wow. Her smile is absolutely radiant, lighting up any room she walks into. It’s one of my favorite things about her!
Unforgettable Memories
Our journey together over the past year has been full of unforgettable moments. From smashing cake and then throwing it at me in downtown McKinney, to the time her dress popped every stitch I had just sewn with my "stitchy" (and our endless laughter about it), to me literally taking my shirt off to help wipe her dirty hands—every session has been an adventure. Some of my favorite memories, though, are the simple moments in between—the car rides to her sessions, just talking about life, laughing, and making memories.
Mack, you have been such a joy to work with, and I am going to miss you so much! Watching you grow and step into this next chapter of your life has been such an honor, and I know you are going to absolutely kill it in the hairstyling world. I can’t wait to see all the incredible things you accomplish. Wishing you all the success and happiness in the world!
XOXO,
ur fav photographer
