Bekah has been such a huge part of my year — not only is she one of my incredible 2025 Senior Reps, but she’s also been one of my amazing assistants. Between her own senior sessions and all the ones she’s helped me with, we’ve spent a lot of time together… and I’ve loved every minute of it. Getting to know Bekah — both her goofy side and her sweet, loving spirit — has been such a joy. She’s the kind of person who lights up every room (and every shoot), and both sides of her personality are just perfect.
For Bekah’s final private session, she had her heart set on something dreamy: a lakeside backdrop. But if you’ve experienced spring in Texas, you know the wind can be brutal — and the day of her session was no exception. We had two choices: reschedule, or pivot to a new location where we could block the wind. Bekah chose to roll with it and trusted my vision for a spot I’d never actually photographed before… and oh my gosh, it paid off.
I walk around Hometown in North Richland Hills pretty often, and there's this little corner with flowers that always makes me pause. I’ve thought a hundred times, “This would make the prettiest photo spot.” And finally, with Bekah, I got to make that vision a reality. Not only did the flowers show off, but the sky decided to come play too — it was pure magic.
Bekah used part of her session to take her cap and gown photos. Since she’s homeschooled, she had the freedom to choose her own colors, and of course she went with her signature shade: pink! I loved how unique and personal that choice was — it felt so her. She even brought along her sweet boyfriend, Noah, and I made sure he jumped in for a few shots toward the end. I always love capturing seniors with the people they love most. This time in their lives is so special, and I’m always honored to be the one to help preserve it.
Bekah — thank you. Thank you for being such an incredible assistant this year, for trusting me with your memories, and for letting me be a part of your senior journey. I can’t wait to see where life takes you, kiddo.
You’re going to do amazing things.
