Oh, the Places You’ll Go!

I’ve had the privilege of knowing Aby since she was a tiny little thing. Her mom and I were friends at a young age, and I remember it like it was yesterday when little Aby was just a baby. Fun fact, she was one of the models for my t-shirt business back in the day, which feels like a lifetime ago! So, when Aby reached out and asked to be part of my Senior Rep team for 2025, I was absolutely ecstatic. It’s been such a joy to watch her grow into the incredible young woman she is today.

Aby is one of those rare individuals who just radiates a special kind of energy. She’s hilarious, brilliant, and—let’s not forget—an avid book lover. I truly believe she’s destined for greatness, and I have no doubt that one day, she’ll be making a big impact in the big city!

For Aby’s last private senior session with me, we decided to do something that felt personal and meaningful to her: we went to Barnes & Noble, her home away from home. As we wandered through the aisles, she eagerly shared with me her favorite authors and book titles, lighting up with excitement as she talked about the stories she loves. It was such a special moment, getting a peek into her world and her passions. Of course, we couldn’t miss the Twilight series—Aby’s all-time favorite—so we made sure to snap a few pictures by the shelves where those iconic books live.

We also couldn’t resist stopping by the children’s section to reminisce a bit and read Oh, the Places You’ll Go! together, taking a quick stroll down memory lane. It was a moment of reflection, filled with so much warmth and nostalgia. We wrapped up her session at the Starbucks inside the store, where Aby sipped on her favorite drink—an iced beverage that just so happens to match her school colors.

But, of course, this session wasn’t just about taking beautiful photos. Aby’s senior year was full of excitement, and it just so happened that on the day of our shoot, her school was in the middle of playing Senior Assassin—on Purge Day, no less! To add a little spice to the shoot, we had to make sure Aby stayed safe and dry from any surprise water gun attacks. She was armed with protection in the form of her mom and best friend, and we even had to pull the car around to the front of the store to make sure no one could sneak up on her. The entire experience was a perfect mix of fun, laughter, and some high-energy moments, and it’s a session I’ll never forget.

Aby, I want you to know just how proud I am of you and everything you’ve accomplished. It’s been such a joy to see you grow, and I’m so excited for the bright future that lies ahead of you. I’ll always treasure our heart-to-heart chats during your sessions—they were just one of the many things that made our time together so special. I have no doubt that you’re going to do incredible things in this world, and I can’t wait to see where life takes you. You’ve got this!
